On the face of it, having a conversation is straightforward – we’re having them all the time. But are we having the right conversations, and are we getting the most out of them? To answer those questions, we need to understand what’s going on when we have a conversation. This is something we regularly explore with our clients, and it recently led us to Judith E. Glaser’s work and her book, Conversational Intelligence.
Not only is it a great read, it’s a book that inspires us to think differently about something that we spend a large portion of our lives doing – talking to one another. And because of this, it’s a book that has the potential to make a massive impact on both our personal and professional lives.
